Maintaining the level of quality engineered into the casting process is the key to obtaining high levels of casting quality.

The part in this example was originally a copper sand casting in the late 1960s. After that, the foundry created the part by machining and welding it out of solid billet.

For most people, when there’s a purchasing decision to be made, the more choices available, the better. In my house, however, choices must be carefully curtailed.
